Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the Wild Traffic mobile game ("the App") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The App is published by Odd Penguin Games ("we", "us"). If you have questions, contact us at support@oddpenguingames.com.
The short version
- You don't need an account to play, and we don't ask for your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos or location.
- Your game progress (levels, stars, coins, settings) is stored on your device.
- We may use analytics and advertising-measurement tools that collect device and usage data, as described below.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Information stored on your device
The App saves your progress and settings (such as levels completed, stars, in-game currency and sound preferences) locally on your device. We cannot access this data. It is deleted when you uninstall the App or choose Reset Progress in the App's settings.
Information collected automatically
To understand how the App is used, fix problems and measure our advertising, the App may use third-party services that automatically collect:
- Usage data: levels started and completed, session length, and in-app events such as tutorial completion or purchases.
- Device data: device model, operating system version, language, country or region (derived from settings or IP address), and app version.
- Diagnostics: crash reports and performance data.
- Identifiers: an app-specific install ID and, only if you allow it, your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android).
On iOS we only access the advertising identifier if you choose "Allow" on Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Third-party services
Depending on the version of the App, these services may receive the data described above. Each one handles data under its own privacy policy:
- Unity (game engine and analytics): unity.com/legal/privacy-policy
- Meta (app install and event measurement for our ads): facebook.com/privacy/policy
- Apple App Store and Google Play (downloads and purchases): apple.com/legal/privacy, policies.google.com/privacy
Purchases
If the App offers in-app purchases, payments are processed entirely by Apple or Google. We never receive your payment card details. We may receive a confirmation that a purchase happened so we can deliver the item.
How we use information
- To run the App and save your progress
- To understand which levels are too hard or too easy and improve the game
- To find and fix crashes and bugs
- To measure whether our ads lead to installs, so we can spend our ad budget well
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it except with the service providers listed above or when required by law.
Data retention
Data on your device stays until you delete the App or reset progress. Analytics data held by our service providers is kept according to their retention settings, generally no longer than 26 months.
Your choices and rights
- Tracking: on iOS, deny or turn off tracking in Settings. On Android, delete or reset your Advertising ID in Settings > Privacy > Ads.
- Delete your data: uninstall the App to remove on-device data. To ask us to delete data held by our service providers, email support@oddpenguingames.com with the subject "Delete my data". Because the App has no accounts, we may ask for details (like your device type and approximate install date) to find it.
- Access and other rights: depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to processing of your personal information. Email us to make a request and we will respond within the time required by law.
Children
The App is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We rely on the security measures of Apple, Google and our service providers, and we limit the data we collect. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
International users
Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries, which may have different data-protection laws than where you live.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we'll change the effective date above, and significant changes will be noted in the App or on this page.
